"WEEPING WILLIE"

I have finally finished the illustrations for the children's book that I have been working on for a very long time! My good friend Donna's husband wrote this cute little story about a boy who befriends a very sad little tree that is stuck in the forest with no water and no sun so he can't grow and get big like all the other trees that live around him, and who tease him and laugh at him. The boy helps the tree to find a new home and to grow and get big, and they become the best of friends. The story is called "Weeping Willie", and my nephew Nicolas was the model for all 23 of the drawings of the boy. Now we just have to hope that it actually makes it to print! That would really be great.

Jag har äntligen ritat färdigt alla illustrationerna till en barn bok som heter "Weeping Willie". Den handlar om en ung pojke som flyttat till en ny stad och är ensam. En dag när han är ute i skogen träffar han på ett litet träd som gråter och är mycket ledsen för att han är så liten, och inte får tillräckligt med vatten och sol för att växa och bli lika stor som de andra stora träd som också lever i skogen och som retar honom och skrattar åt honom. Sagan berättar hur pojken sen hjälper det lilla trädet till att växa och bli stort. Min bror-son Nicolas stod model åt mig för alla olika bilderna. Det är ungefär 23 olika teckningar, och jag har jobbat mycket och länge men nu är dom äntligen färdiga! Min gode vän Donna's man är författaren till sagan. Nu får vi se om han kan lyckas att få boken i tryck!

TROLLE

I made a few more little adjustments to Trolle. His eyes are now a little darker, and the cheek bone to the right is now better. I hope my client will agree.

Ok, nu har jag grejat lite till med Trolle's porträtt. Ögonen är lite mörkare och kindbenet till höger ser lite bättre ut nu tycker jag. Hoppas Viveka tycker det också!
